resolutions?????
I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas!! Thank you so much to those who sent me virtual gifts and cards, they're LOVELY! Also, thank YOU for the sweet comments regarding my art in the previous post.. It's always wonderful to hear kind words from you all, it gives me motivation to do something more, you know? I think that's what getting me unmotivated.. the lack of 'feedback' since I haven't been active brought me down even more and blocking everything in me to be creative.. it's like losing a part of me because I don't hear anything positive to nudge me... does that make sense?? ah ignore me, I'm just having a moment.. lol. because sometimes, just getting ONE email telling me 'I love your work' really can make me so happy and inspired to create something.. I'm sure all artists feel the same about this... =)
I feel so relaxed today because I finally finished the website project that I'd been working on for a friend in the past few months.. It was hard since I didn't have any inspiration or motivation at all to create. But finally it's done, I'm so relieved!! You have no idea how amazing it is not to feel pressured with projects that you don't really have the heart to do it in the first place.. I know it's my fault for agreeing to do it.. but ugh, I'd help if the other option is to pay another designer $$$$ for a website that I can do for nothing since she's a friend, you know?! Well, I'm not gonna put myself in that position anymore.. unless I know I'm motivated to do something really creative! :P
But I'm a softy, it's always hard to say no to anyone.. *sighs*
My new year's resolutions are: to start creating again whether it's resources, fanart, original work, etc. To re-learn how to code a website fully and completely so I can start working as both a designer and a developer once again. I'm taking an online course for this and hopefully it won't take me long until I get back into it again. I've forgotten how to code a basic website, believe it or not.. lol. I haven't really been building any website for a year.. that's how I forgot everything. I'm going to try to manage my time better so I can still enjoy fandoms like years ago.. I'm going to continue on making and sharing resources at my beloved site.. I'm going to eat better, sleep better and spend even more time with my kids doing many creativities.. I want to teach my kids to recycle things into artwork.. like what I used to do when I was younger.. I want to teach my kids how to draw and paint properly. I want to start making my own scented candles, I want to start doing picture framing and book binding.. LOL. SO MUCH I WANT TO DO! And guess what?? I have all the materials ready!! I just have to find the time to actually do them all. Oh and paper-making is another thing I would like to do next year.
MANY ideas in my head.. I just NEED the TIME!!! I also have future paid projects already in the plan since the companies have discussed to use my services for them in the near future.. Will have to train my little Zoey to come to work with me (as a photographer).. That should be fun!!
Well, enough rambling... I wish you all the best New Year's eve celebration, please be wise and safe at all times!! Don't do anything silly, now?! And of course, I wish you all the best for the New Year coming, may it be a much better year than it's been for you all this year. Plenty creativity and happiness!! *HUGS*
